Second time's a charm?

Here it goes. It will be my second attempt at making gourmet cupcakes today. This is what I'm thinking: Champagne cupcakes with strawberry buttercream frosting? Giving it a whirl and I'll post my outcome later....until next time.

Meringue Disaster

Well, here it is, my first blog about my cupcake adventures. And I'm sad to say that it ended on a bad note. For some reason I decided making meringue was a good idea....in my blender. Let's just say that it ended up more like pudding.

The cake was also a little too muffin-like and dry. Martha Stewart, your recipe is never going to be used again. At least they ended up cute....
